A boy wearing a cap and paper as a shield!

Writer: Ash PanchalAsh Panchal

Imagine this...

You are about to start talking in front of a packed lecture theatre, the only emotion that is present is FEAR

The only thing that could work is by hiding in plain sight!

The person before had already mastered this, by using a projector and speaking from the back of the room, so no one was looking in their direction... genius

The boy was up next, sweaty palms, reams of paper, cap on low... still anxious about speaking in front a room full of people, who on the most part were very friendly and supportive.

The solution... stand up, at the front of the lecture hall and have the cap on REALLY low and papers up HIGH!

The next 5 minutes dragged on and with every page turned, shield was getting thinner.

Eventually, the end was close, then it came to... any questions, please? A number of hands go up. Reluctantly, all questions were answered, with still more perspiration, shaking and the sound of his heart beat in his ears.

When he finally, sat down, everyone around him congratulated him on a great talk and how informative it was. The boy did not feel, he just felt exhausted and hoped never to do it again...

This is a photo of the boy NOW!

Yes, it was me and from that day forward I vowed that I would not feel like that ever again.

It took me years to get over my anxieties around public speaking, along the way as I shed my limiting beliefs, I've also helped others get over theirs.

Anything is possible when you take control of your emotions.

Take care all and fun breaking down this barriers.
